Alyce Zawacki

With a background in theatre, film, photography, and journalism—and a lifelong connection to music—Alyce brings a deep appreciation for the arts to her legal practice. Based in Austin, Texas, Alyce is the founding attorney of Alyce Zawacki Law, PLLC, which opened in 2018 and advises artists, creatives, and businesses on entertainment, intellectual property, and business matters. She combines legal training from La Trobe University, Australia and Texas Tech University School of Law, Texas with real-world industry insight. Alyce has represented clients across music, film, visual arts, and digital media, and actively supports the creative community through board service and pro bono work.

Michele Martell

Michele Martell is a rare commodity as a community, marketing and legal strategist, and implementer. With a background in entertainment and edtech as well as intellectual property law and a focus on innovative storytelling for every screen, Michele has been part of the executive management teams for The Jim Henson Company, Cinedigm Entertainment, SD Entertainment as well as WWE.

Erin Rodgers
Treasurer

 

 

Houston, Texas

 Erin Rodgers has been practicing law since 2007, and is currently a partner with Rodgers Selvera PLLC. Her areas of practice include entertainment, nonprofits, intellectual property, and corporate matters. Erin holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Business from Loyola University New Orleans, and a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center. She has extensive professional speaking experience, and is the Co-Director of the U of H Law Center Entertainment Law Clinic.

In addition to practicing law, Erin is a classically trained clarinetist, and also plays the piano, accordion, and guitar. Erin has performed as a vocalist with Dave Brubeck and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, and currently performs with Houston bands The Wheel Workers, National Pleasure, and Houston’s Accordion Super Stars, among others. She is also a Core Artist with Catastrophic Theatre.

Marguerite Zamora

Marguerite Zamora is an entertainment attorney at Alyce Zawacki Law, PLLC in Austin, Texas. Her practice is focused on creatives of all types, ranging from music and film to interior design and digital art. As a former teacher, Marguerite is passionate about community legal education and bolstering legal scholarship. She currently runs the TESLAW Journal and is always interested in reading a new submission. 

Daniel Hare

Daniel is the Founder/President of Varsity Search, an attorney recruitment company. He is a former NCAA Division II athletic director and an adjunct professor of sports law at Baylor University.
