TESLAW distributes two publications: the TESLAW Tidbits Newsletter in the summer and winter, and the TESLAW Journal in spring and fall. All submissions are considered.  Articles and content should be practical and scholarly to an audience of Texas lawyers practicing sports or entertainment law.

Formal Articles: As general guidelines, articles should be no more than twenty-five typewritten, double-spaced, 8 ½” x 11” pages, including any endnotes.  Endnotes must be concise, placed at the end of the article, and in Harvard “Blue Book” or Texas Law Review “Green Book” form.

Short Form Articles and Casenotes: May be any length with appropriate citations and/or bibliography; endnotes and “Blue Book” format not required.

Practice Documents: Form documents useful in the practice of sports or entertainment law.

Once an article is submitted, TESLAW does not request any additional authorization from the author to publish the article.  Due to the number of submissions and the number of potential publications in the marketplace, it is nearly impossible to monitor publication of submission in other publications.  It is up to the author to assure that we are notified should there be any restrictions on our use of the article.  This policy has been implemented to assure that our Journal does not violate any other publication’s limitation on republication.  The Journal does not restrict republication, and in fact encourages, submission of an author’s article to other publications prior to or after our election to publish. Obviously the Journal will make the appropriate attribution where an article is published with permission of another publication, and request such attribution to the Journal if we are the first to publish an article.
